CSM (Ret) Darryl L. Gill 

Scholarship and Enrollment Officer 

Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Darryl L. Gill is the Recruiting Operations Officer (ROO) and serves as the Scholarship and Enrollment Officer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).   

Darryl reported for active duty on 26 July 1983 at Fort Benning, Georgia for Infantry One Station Unit Training (OSUT).  Mr. Gill has served in every Infantryman leadership position from Team Leader through Battalion Command Sergeant Major; to include Drill Sergeant, ROTC Senior Military Instructor, Battalion through Division Operations Sergeant Major, Command Sergeant Major 215th Brigade Support Battalion and most recently Command Sergeant Major 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3d Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood Texas. 

CSM Gill earned an Associate Degree from the University of Phoenix and his military education includes Warrior Leader Course; Advance Leaders Course; Senior Leaders course; the First Sergeants Course and the Senior Enlisted Academy, United States Navy.  

His military awards and decorations include 1 Legion of Merit, 3 Bronze Star Medals, 6 Meritorious Service Medals, 2 Army Commendation Medals, 12 Army Achievement Medals, 9 Good Conduct  Medals, 2 National Defense Service Medals, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with 4 campaign stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge,  and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. Darryl was also awarded the Centurion Medal for the Order of Saint Maurice.  

CSM (Ret) Gill is a native of Springfield, Ohio and is married to the former Katrina Adams from Fenwick Island Delaware.
