Do you plan to use Federal Direct Loans (loans awarded from the FAFSA)?

If yes, sign Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (loan agreement).

If no, fill out the Financial Aid Award Reduction Form located within your aid offer. Instructions are available here:

If you have not been offered Federal Direct Loans in your aid offer, but are interested in using them, you must file a FAFSA.

Will you receive scholarships from outside WPI?

If yes, fill out the Outside Scholarship Reporting Form.

Outside scholarship policy information is available here.

  • Scholarships and grants will not be reduced upon receipt of outside scholarships until the combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and work study from all sources exceeds WPI's annual Cost of Attendance.
  • Certain federal funds, including the Federal Direct Subsidized Loan and Federal Work Study, may be adjusted upon receipt of outside scholarships.
Do you have a plan to pay your balance?

Charges for the fall semester are posted to Workday in July with a due date in August. By the due date, students are expected to have paid their remaining balance in full, enrolled in an interest-free monthly payment plan, been approved for a student loan, or a combination of the above.

Information about payment options, including the interest-free monthly payment plan, is available on the Bursar's website, here.

Information about additional financing options, including the Parent PLUS Loan and private loans, is available on our loans and financing page, here.
