Recognition & Appreciation

In 1972, Leonard H. White ’41 penned an invitation to join the President’s Advisory Council. This group was formed to recognize those that provide support to the university at a leadership level, thereby allowing the university’s President to successfully meet the challenges of the present and future.

Today, this group is known as the President’s Circle and recognizes leadership annual donors to WPI. Year after year, members of the President’s Circle continue to step forward to provide the critical resources necessary to advance the mission of WPI. From the charter group of 38 alumni, the President’s Circle has grown to include more than 400 alumni, parents, and friends.

President’s Circle is for all graduates of WPI who make a $2,000 annual gift. Membership is based on the total of an individual’s personal gifts and corporate matching gifts during a single fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). President’s Circle commitments may be paid at any point during the 12 months, but must be fulfilled by June 30 of each year.

Young Alumni

To encourage leadership giving among our youngest undergraduate alumni, membership in the President’s Circle is an annual gift of the following:

  • Graduates 0 to 4 years after graduation: $100
  • Graduates 5 to 9 years after graduation: $500
  • Graduates 10 to 14 years after graduation: $1,000
