WPI Wrestling Kicks Off Fundraising for Professor Frank DeFalco Endowment

The WPI Wrestling program has strong roots in excellence - on the mat, in the classroom, and in the achievements of its alumni. In order to solidify and build upon this excellence, the team is embarking on a new fundraising initiative for a full-time assistant coach in honor of Professor Frank DeFalco, WPI professor of civil engineering and wrestling supporter.

“Uncle Frank”, as he is affectionately called, has been involved in the wrestling program for over 50 years. Frank was a long-time volunteer assistant coach, advisor, and supporter of the wrestling team. With this fund, the wrestling alumni recognize him and the important contributions he made to WPI wrestling.

“Uncle Frank has been intertwined with the program for 50 years. He’s one of those people that the WPI wrestling family is all about.” -Steve Hall ’87, former WPI wrestling head coach

Many alumni and friends have supported the wrestling program throughout the years. If you’d like to support the Dr. Frank DeFalco Endowment for Wrestling, choose “Other” when making your gift and write the name of the endowment in the gift designation box.
