The Graduate Student Government hopes you’ll save the date for the Graduate Cocktail Reception in December.

According to GSG president Anna Croop ’14, the group is working with the Committee on Graduate Studies and Research, Alumni Relations, and other key partners for a celebration of graduate life at WPI. “It’s a fun way to recognize the students graduating in December and the new graduate programs that will be starting,” she says, “and to kick off the holidays and the end of semester.”

“We hope to combine a relaxing, social event with content that graduate students have requested, such as networking opportunities, speakers, alumni, etc.,” says Croop. The plan is to have babysitters on hand so those with children can attend.

“This is the first time such an event has been held in December just for graduate students to celebrate,” she says, “but we hope, as with the Orientation BBQ in August, it will become an annual tradition.”

The event will be held Friday, Dec. 13, 6 to 8pm, in Higgins House. For more information, contact aecroop@WPI.EDU.

Graduate Housing

The graduate student housing community is a diverse group of fellow graduate students, faculty, and staff with whom you’ll develop meaningful and supportive relationships during your time at WPI.

Graduate student housing is an ideal place to establish a balance between academic, social, and work life—all with the support of the WPI community. With the close proximity to campus and WPI activities, and plenty of social gatherings to enjoy, graduate students can make the most of their WPI experience.
