Students have the option to provide a preferred name to Residential Services when filling out a housing application. Preferred names will only be used by Residential Services with the intent of making the residence halls as welcoming as possible.
- Students seeking housing accommodations for an accessibility-related need may request accommodations through the Office of Accessibility Services (ODS) on or before January 15. For more information on filling out the Housing Accommodation Request Form and submitting documentation, please watch this video. Housing accommodations must be requested each year in addition to filling out the housing application. The Housing Accommodation Form can be found here.
- The priority is to provide an accommodated housing assignment that meets the student’s needs based on medical documentation in a location that is appropriate for the student’s class year designation.
This housing option is where two or more students mutually agree to share a multiple-occupancy bedroom, suite, or apartment without regard to the gender of the occupants.
Term Housing is designed for students who are leaving for a university-sponsored project for a single term. During this term, the student will not be charged for University Housing. The student will vacate their assigned space for their term away, and will be given an assignment within the Term Housing locations upon their return. Term Housing is offered in advance of Upperclass Housing Selection. Term Housing is located in Hackfeld House, Schussler House and/or Elbridge House depending on the level of interest. Term Housing does not require a residential meal plan and students share a common kitchen within their assigned house.
