UMASS Amherst New Voices in Computer Science MS Fellowship

The New Voices in Computer Science MS Fellowship is offered to graduates of Massachusetts colleges and universities, and MA residents who completed bachelor’s degrees out of state, who are women or underrepresented (Black/African American, Native American, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and Hispanic/Latinx). Recipients must be admitted to the two-year MS in Computer Science degree program at UMass Amherst. This residential MS program offers concentrations in data science and cybersecurity, and admits students with varied backgrounds in engineering, math, computer science, electrical engineering, psychology, and social sciences.

The fellowship provides funds for educational expenses, including tuition and fees, health insurance, and a stipend for living expenses during the course of the program. Recipients will be selected as part of the MS degree program admissions process. If interested, be sure to mention the New Voices Fellowship in the personal statement.

For more information about the MS program, students can contact Eileen Hamel, Graduate Programs Manager, at ehamel@cs.umass.edu or (413) 545-3640.
