Miles Ketchum

WPI’s Miles Ketchum has been upgraded to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women’s Division III National Assistant Coach of the Year.

Ketchum recently completed a campaign that concluded with Liz Pellegrini of Worcester turning in a school record runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He also helped the 4×100-meter relay make an appearance at the national event for the third consecutive outdoor season.

Named the regional assistant coach of the year prior to last week’s NCAA outdoor championships, Ketchum is in his fourth year coaching sprints, hurdles, and relays at WPI. His group scored 81 of the team’s record 174 points at the NEWMAC meet, garnering runner-up honors. He helped produce conference champions in three events, as well as several other all-conference performers. At the DIII New England meet, his group scored valuable points, helping lead the team to an 8th place overall finish.

A 2012 graduate of Wheaton, Ketchum capped his collegiate career with All-America performance in the 4×400-meter relay to go along with NEWMAC titles in the 4×100 and 4×400 relay. He is certified by the USTFCCCA in the Sprints, Hurdles and Relays.
