As one of the first and only online graduate programs in system dynamics, WPI’s online MS in System Dynamics program will give you the tools and expertise to strategically influence decision making using system dynamics, a computer-aided modeling technique for understanding complex issues. Our program has foundational roots in MIT, the birthplace of system dynamics, and is designed to help students from across a wide variety of industries improve their decision-making abilities, determine effects of business decisions, and analyze situations to identify paths of actions.

WPI’s online master of science in system dynamics will enable you to become a vital force for change in your organization by learning improved modeling techniques in system dynamics. As a WPI student, you’ll work with the best and brightest to understand how to:

  • Enhance your decision-making effectiveness
  • Prioritize and implement policy changes
  • Determine the effect of varying business decisions
  • Anticipate the impact of economic and market changes

WPI also offers an online graduate certificate in System Dynamics.

I would highly recommend taking system dynamics courses from WPI. The online learning program puts it all together for you by bringing the best people in the field together for an optimal learning experience.

System Dynamics Society

As a member of the System Dynamics Society, WPI is leading the way in promoting the use of system dynamics modeling. System dynamics is commonly used by top-level managers and policy makers to improve decision making and strategic thinking.

Designing Educational Programs in System Dynamics

Our faculty members describe the design and rationale for WPI's programs, with the goal of soliciting program-specific feedback from the system dynamics community. We also facilitate wider discussion about the appropriate content, design, and pedagogy of degree programs and courses in system dynamics.
