The STEM Education Center offers graduate EDU courses for PK-12 in-service educators that are designed for multiple career goals and to enable research-backed STEM pedagogy that engages and supports all students to demonstrate their potential.

 Our graduate courses are offered in the evenings, online, and synchronous:

A Masters degree designed for working educators

The Masters in Integrated STEM Education (MISE) has been developed to unite STEM education theory with practical classroom application, leading to enhanced, standard-aligned content knowledge and STEM pedagogy. Educators are able to support learners in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills that benefit their lives and communities.

MISE enables MA teachers to advance from initial to professional licensure.

From Marine Science to the MISE Program: A STEM Educator’s Journey 

It’s been a full year since the Master’s in Integrated STEM Education (MISE) program was launched. We reached out to one of the program’s graduate students (and STEAM teacher), Amanda Gallerani, to learn how she manages full time teaching and graduate studies, and what advice she may have for potential candidates.
