Graduate offerings are designed for professional educators  

Graduate Certificate in STEM Education: 12 graduate credits (or 4 graduate courses) taken as a cohesive set to help MA educators advance from an initial to professional licensure.

Masters in Integrated STEM Education (MISE): Master’s degree (30 graduate credits) comprised of core STEM education courses, elective courses, and project. All EDU graduate courses are online and synchronous, and offered during evenings, weekends, or summer.

Other WPI Programs & Degrees for Educators

Master of Mathematics for Educators (MME)

Intended for middle school, secondary school, and community college in-service mathematics educators, the Master of Mathematics for Educators (MME) is suited to those seeking a content-centric degree as they continue to teach. Participants study math foundations, modern applications, and emerging technology, as well as completing a culminating project of their own design.

Master of Science in Physics for Educators (MPED)

The MPED, a degree program for middle school, high school, and community college educators, emphasizes physics content coursework, combined with courses in assessment and evaluation theory. A self-designed project completes the program.

Learning Sciences & Technologies Program (LS&T)

WPI's Learning Sciences and Technologies (LST) program offers master’s and doctoral degrees to highly motivated graduate students interested in contributing to a challenge of national importance: understanding and improving the education process, namely learning and assessment.

Graduate Certification in Teaching Cybersecurity

Designed for high school computer science teachers, WPI’s Graduate Certificate in Teaching Cybersecurity provides in-depth training to bring cybersecurity concepts into the classroom. Supported by funding from the National Cybersecurity Teaching Academy grant, this certificate is offered at no cost to participating educators and can be applied toward continuing professional education and other graduate credentials, including WPI’s MS degree in Integrated STEM.
