Computer science is a fast-growing, diverse, and varied field that impacts the world and everyday life in countless ways - from medicine and communications, to entertainment and business. For the last 50 years, WPI's Computer Science department has been at the forefront of research and continues to be an interdisciplinary force on WPI's campus.

In 2020, we mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of our Silicon Valley Project Center, where WPI students continue to apply our motto of “theory and practice” to computer-based projects with industry leaders.

We invite you to join our alumni, students, and supporters at a special event at the Computer History Museum where we will celebrate the history and future of the computer science industry and discuss WPI's role in and impact in this high-tech sector. During the event, you will hear from WPI leadership and have an opportunity to meet our Silicon Valley Project Center students.
