Biological Safety (BSL1 and BSL2) & Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Safety training for faculty, students, and staff with potential exposure to  Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) and OPIM in the workplace.

•            Pre-Registration is not required

•            Attendance will be taken for EHS records

•            15 minute written quiz will be administered (participants should bring a pen)

•            Topics include:  Exposure recognition/control/prevention, post-exposure procedures, emergency response, biological waste handling/disposal, including Bloodborne Pathogens

              or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) as defined by OSHA* 

*Federal OSHA regulations require initial and yearly refresher safety training for all employees with potential exposure to  Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) and OPIM in the workplace.
