As early stage tenure-track faculty member, you have many opportunities to launch your career in a big way through competitive awards targeted at early-career researchers.
This workshop will provide an overview of prestigious competitions that typically provide 3-5 years of support to pursue cutting-edge research, offered by both US government and non-government sponsors.
In addition, and more importantly, you will hear from colleagues who have been successful in securing such prestigious early career funding: Professors Raghvendra Cowlagi (Mechanical Engineering), Amity Manning (Biology and Biotechnology), Anita Mattson (Chemistry and Biochemistry), Nima Rahbar (Civil and Environmental Engineering), and Haichong (Kai) Zhang (Biomedical Engineering) have kindly agreed to tell you about their experiences with early career research programs.
Lunch will be provided.
