Many graduate students and postdocs at WPI are interested in entrepreneurship, and with this in mind, The Office of Graduate Studies in collaboration with the Offices of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Intellectual Property and Innovation, and the Tech Advisors Network has organized a graduate student start-up boot camp to provide critical training for those interested in this career path.
The start-up boot camp will be an all day program taking place on Friday, November 9th at the WPI Seaport. Bus transportation as well as all meals will be provided. The program will provide information, resources, and training related to entrepreneurship and launching a start-up. Individualized advisement and feedback will be an integral part of this program and the program schedule will be tailored to the cohort of participants that are ultimately selected for the program. There will also be a networking opportunity to connect with entrepreneurs in the greater Boston area.
Graduate students and postdocs interested in participating in the boot camp need to complete an application by Monday, October 1st. A selection committee will review applications and make final selections of participants in October. All applicants will be notified of their application status by the end of October, ahead of the November 9th boot camp. The program has a limited number of spots, so we ask that applications are only submitted by individuals that can commit to attending the full program on November 9th.
