The MassRIDES Try It Day will take place on March 20th from 8 – 10 am at the fountain* and MassRIDES Outreach Coordinator Patrick Higgins will be taking signups tomorrow and next Tuesday from 12 – 2:00 pm in the Campus Center.
What is a “Try it Day”? A “Try it Day” is a chance to demonstrate your commitment to our environment by commuting to work/class in a new way! How? Carpool, bike, walk, or take public transportation! Check out the registration schedule below.
Why should you try an alternative to driving alone to class or work? Studies show that those who opt for regular active commutes—biking, walking, carpooling, or taking transit—save money, have reduced stress levels, and are more satisfied professionally and personally. In addition, it’s much better for the environment.
Still not convinced you want to participate? Those who pledge their commitment to our “Try It Day” and take an alternative trip and a picture of their respective commutes (not while riding) will receive a bite to eat and will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card.
Stop by to register for Try It Day with Patrick at the Rubin Campus Center on the following dates:
- 3/13, 12 – 2:00 pm
- 3/19, 12 – 2:00 pm
*Should the weather prevent a Try It Day on 3/20, the rain date will be on 3/21.
