Mental Health Awareness Week Community Events

Monday, October 03, 2022 to Friday, October 07, 2022

The CWB will host a variety of activities for Mental Health Awareness Week to help students, faculty, and staff develop their own wellness tools. Join the CWB Peer Well-Being Ambassadors in awareness campaigns about healthy relationships, design your own stress management tools—like plant therapy, essential oils, and crystals—and map out a wellness plan. You can also learn how best to use the Rec Center machines and end the week with a therapeutic nature walk nearby.

Design Your Wellness (Mental Health Awareness Week)

Make your wellbeing the easy choice in this behavior change workshop to design your own wellness plan. Implemented by the Center for Well-Being, you will learn steps and strategies on how to build your wellness plan by theory and practice using the wellbeing wheel, facilitated guided questions, and by creating your vision board for your wellness. Then, to aid in maintaining your plan, book a 30-minute drop-in consultation once a week or as needed with the Center for Well-Being staff, Paula Fitzpatrick, Ph. D, or Jermoh Kamara, MPH, CHES.  This will count for credit for the Mental Health Well-Being theme of the First-Year Checklist for first year students who are participating in the Insight Program.
