The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is proud to host The Twentieth New England Statistics Symposium on Saturday, April 22, 2006. Our purpose is to bring together statisticians from all over New England at a central location.

Two keynote speakers selected and invited to give papers are:

There will be several arranged special theme sessions in Applied Statistics, Bioinformatics and Genetics, Career opportunities in Statistics, Probability and Statistical Education. Details will be available on the department website. In addition, there will be contributed paper sessions, allowing 15 to 20 minutes per paper. We invite talks on all aspects of statistics and probability. Reports on work in progress are welcomed. Participation of graduate students is encouraged. Please send an abstract as soon as possible to insure a place on the program. March 24, 2006 is the closing date for abstracts.
