Advanced Placement (AP) Credit
The following policy is only applicable for undergraduate students.
WPI awards credit for Advanced Placement (AP) scores of 4 or 5 only. In order to receive AP credit, students must contact the College Board and request that their official test scores be sent to the Registrar’s Office electronically. Upon receipt/verification of appropriate AP scores, the below corresponding credit will be posted to the students’ records with an “L” on the transcript.
First year students can expect to see AP scores posted to their student accounts by mid July. To view your scores, click your Workday profile (top right corner), Academics, Transfer Credit.
*Please note: only 1/3 of AP credit (or IB credit) can be used toward the WPI Humanities and Arts requirement.
