Dr. Kim joined WPI in August 2015. His educational background is in Operations Management and Information Systems. His research interests include: use of serious games in business education/training, gamification in business, IT strategy in organizations, organizational technology adoption, and pragmatic use of qualitative/quantitative research methods. All these research interests are concluded with one ultimate goal; effective use of Information Systems and Technology to improve our society. He has been working on several research projects, a couple of which were published in the Americas' Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) Proceedings. He also co-authored a chapter of the book titled, MBA for the Curious: Why Study an MBA? Before he got into academia, he had worked for Samsung Economic Research Institute (SERI) and Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI).
