Location and Culture

Situated in the heart of Southeast Asia, Thailand is a beautiful country full of markets, beaches, and temples. Students have the opportunity to become acquainted with the people of Thailand and address some of the challenges common to developing nations through a variety of social and environmental projects. Average temperatures in February range from 76°F to 92°F.

Housing and Meals

WPI students will be living in residences that are close to the skytrain (BTS) and subway (MRT). Accommodation type and location are subject to change without notice and will be confirmed the term prior to departure.

Thai cuisine often incorporates rice, noodles, and starches with sauces, vegetables, and herbs, and is known to mix flavors. Nuts are also commonly used in Thai cuisine. Students should inform their advisor of any health concerns, dietary restrictions, or allergies in advance of participation in this program.
