In an atmosphere that embraces cultural diversity and encourages social tolerance, the International House at WPI provides programs and services to assist, educate, and support international students and scholars in their transition to U.S. society and academic culture.

To ensure student, scholar, and institutional compliance with federal regulations, the International House provides professional expertise on immigration and employment issues while also promoting the academic, professional, and personal growth of international students and scholars.

A sample of the services International House offers:

  • Visa and immigration help
  • English as a second language program
  • Social Security card processing
  • Tax workshops
  • Career help
  • Finding and securing temporary housing
  • Notary Public
  • General counseling

The International House is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to noon,  and 1 to 4:30 p.m.

For quick questions, signatures for I-20s or DS-2019s, and other shorter issues, walk-in hours are available on Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon.
