There is a lot to do to get ready to come to WPI in a normal year—and this year there is even more to do. So in order to help you start your time on campus as safely adn smoothly as possible, we’ve created a checklist of things that must be done before you return to campus.

It’s essential that you complete each of these steps. Students who do not complete these steps will not be able to move into campus housing or fraternity/sorority housing or access the campus.

We recognize this is a lot to think about. Please know, each of these steps is designed to help protect the health and safety of our entire campus community—you, your fellow students, your faculty, and university staff, as well as the greater Worcester community we call home.

Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you soon.

    Required Tasks

    PRIOR TO RETURN TO CAMPUS
     Step 1

Sign electronically or print and sign the following medical forms and upload them to the WPI Health Portal. Failure to do so by the deadline will prevent you from having access to campus.

    Step 2

Please refer to the July 29 message regarding travel and quarantine. Click here for a list of higher-risk states. Those traveling from out of state need to check the MA travel order site for guidance.

    Step 3

Complete the required online training courses.

    • First-year students should do training on five topics: Consent & Sexual Violence, Alcohol & Other Drugs, COVID-19, Hazing & Intimidation, and Identities & Inclusion.
    • Upperclass students should do training on three topics: COVID-19, Hazing & Intimidation, and Identities & Inclusion.
     Step 4

Schedule an onboarding COVID-19 test. Students living off campus will receive an email about signing up for an onboarding test on campus.

    UPON ARRIVAL TO CAMPUS
Step 5 Upon arrival to campus, start using WPI’s symptom tracker; watch your email for a link. Students are required to fill out the symptom tracker every day before coming to campus.
    Step 6

Schedule your routine testing. All students will undergo regular testing; you'll be told to sign up for testing once or twice a week, depending on where you live and your activities.

    • You will receive an email advising you of your testing day(s).
    • Scheduling link will be made available at a later date.
    • As there will be limited capacity in each time slot, we recommend scheduling your time slots for the entire term.
    • Download your appointments to your calendar and sign up for text message reminders so you don’t forget.
    • Remember, missing test appointments can result in fines and parental notification. See the letter from the Dean of Students here.
