Onboarding will begin January 21, 2021, for ALL students—undergraduate, graduate, and PhD—living on and off campus. Every student returning to campus must have their first on-boarding test between January 21st and January 25th. Please book your appointment using the Schedule a COVID Test website. Please note, there is no on-boarding available on January 22nd. The process will look a bit different than the process students followed in August 2020, so please review this information carefully and complete each step. Students who do not complete these steps will not be able to move into campus housing or access campus.

This process is designed to help protect the health and safety of our entire campus community—you, your fellow students, faculty, and staff, as well as the greater Worcester community we call home.

Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Required Checklist for ALL Students (Undergraduate, Graduate, and PhD)

  • Required Tasks
    • You must fill out your C-Term/Spring semester intentions survey located on your MyTechFlex dashboard. This is due at 11:59 p.m. EST January 11, 2021.
    • You are REQUIRED to take two PCR on-boarding tests at Harrington Auditorium. You will be assigned the days you are to take these two tests to ensure there is enough time between each test. Please review your MyTechFlex dashboard for your assigned days and plan accordingly. There must be five days between each onboarding test.
    • If you have access to campus, you’ll then continue your routine testing. Remember, you have assigned routine testing days that can be found on your MyTechFlex dashboard. You’re also required to complete the WPI symptom tracker each day.

Additional Checklist for ALL On-Campus Residential Students

  • Required Tasks
    • Complete the Student Intentions Survey on MyTechFlex by 11:59 p.m. January 3, 2021. Depending on your location about two weeks before you come to campus, you will order a pre-arrival PCR Quest Diagnostics test or make an appointment for a pre-arrival PCR test on WPI’s campus.
    • You will be required to take a pre-arrival PCR test within 5 days of your assigned move-in day. A negative result must be obtained in order to move into campus housing. If you’re arriving from within the United States, this test will be administered either on WPI’s campus or ordered via Quest Diagnostics. Those who needed to order their tests via Quest Diagnostics would have received an email to their WPI email address with more information on how to do so. NOTE: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 13, QUEST DIAGNOSTICS TESTS CAN NO LONGER BE ORDERED.
    • Only students arriving from outside of the United States will be permitted to obtain their own pre-arrival PCR test.
    • Your move-in day will be assigned by Residential Services; this information, as well as the day you should take your pre-arrival test, can be found on your MyTechFlex dashboard. Once you receive your assigned move-in day, you’ll also need to sign up for an arrival time on that day. It’s strongly encouraged that upon signing up for your arrival time, you also make a matching appointment for your first onboarding test. Visit the Residential Services Moving In web page for more details on move-in instructions.
    • If you are receiving your housing assignment for the first time for this spring, you will have an opportunity to electronically sign the housing and dining contract. Residential Services will be in touch with you directly about this step in the process.
