Action Required for Thanksgiving Plans

Given the risks inherent in travel and holiday celebrations, WPI is giving ALL students (undergraduate, graduate, PhD) a choice to remain on campus or in their Worcester housing or Greek chapter housing for Thanksgiving and the final two weeks of B-Term, or to leave the campus before the holiday and not return until C-Term.

Students must let WPI know their intentions by November 12. If they have not submitted plans by November 12, we will assume you are leaving and your campus ID card will be deactivated at 9 a.m. November 25.

For more information, refer to President Leshin’s recent message, or announcements for residential students and off-campus students

All WPI-sponsored domestic and international travel remains suspended until further notice, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. WPI considers all WPI-sponsored travel to be high-risk at this time.

WPI strongly discourages personal travel to destinations outside of Massachusetts, especially personal travel to states not included in Massachusetts’ list of COVID-19 lower-risk states.

After August 1, 2020, any member of the WPI community who engages in travel outside of Massachusetts must comply with Massachusetts’ COVID-19 orders and guidance related to travel upon returning to Massachusetts.
