Grace Wang, PhD, Named 17th President of WPI

A materials scientist and highly accomplished and collaborative leader in higher education, government, and industry, Grace Wang, PhD, has been selected as the 17th president of WPI. Elected by the WPI Board of Trustees after an extensive national search, she will join the community on April 3, 2023. Learn more about her.

Getting to Know the WPI Community
President-elect Wang has visited campus several times over the last few months to meet and engage in conversations with WPI students, faculty, staff, and community members before assuming her new role on April 3.

President-elect Wang attended the President's IQP Awards ceremony, an annual event that recognizes student teams whose Interactive Qualifying Project work (a required project that addresses an open-ended problem at the intersection of science, technology, and society) is determined to be outstanding.
Wang spoke with staff at the Center for Well-Being ribbon cutting in February.
Wang visited a Gateway Park lab with Vice Provost of Research Bogdan Vernescu and several WPI researchers.

An Introduction to the WPI Community
