Lieutenant Colonel Dan Murphy is the Professor of Military Science for Army ROTC at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the Bay State Battalion. His mission is to recruit, educate, develop, and inspire future U.S. Army commissioned officers. His path into the Army began with ROTC. He was commissioned into active duty in 2008 after graduating from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. After commissioning, he deployed twice to Afghanistan as a Transportation Officer. As a Captain, he was selected for Special Forces and earned his Green Beret. He joined the 7th Special Forces Group ...

Kim Adams joined the Bay State Battalion in July 2010. She serves as the Executive Assistant to the Military Science Department Head. Mrs. Adams has worked at WPI for more than twenty-five years, with expertise in student academic management and student support services. She enjoys spending time with loved ones, practicing yoga, dance and hanging out by the lake with her dogs.
