Great Minds at Work:
A Community Where You Solve Problems
WPI employees have access to information and processes that will help them in their current roles. Whether they are hiring an employee or need to brush up on technical skills, they will find the information and resources to complete the necessary tasks.
Performance Review Process
Performance reviews are an important annual process here at WPI. Performance feedback should be an ongoing process throughout the year between managers and employees, but this is the time to formally discuss our individual performance, set goals, and examine growth and development opportunities for the coming year.
Each employee completes a self-evaluation form, which is sent directly to their manager. Then the manager will use this feedback, along with their notes and input from others, where appropriate, to complete the performance review form. The manager will conduct individual performance review meetings with their direct reports, and then send each employee's self-evaluation form and the performance review form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Contractor or Employee?
The IRS has specific guidelines to determine if someone working for you is a contractor or an employee. Use this guide to make sure your classification is correct.
Human Resources Library
Gordon Library has many texts and materials available on personnel, teamwork, mentoring, human resources, and management issues. WPI employees may take these items out on loan.
