Business Administration (PhD)

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Gain a powerful career advantage and stand out in the marketplace with our MBA for STEM professionals. Leaders need a broad skill set that relies on technical expertise and business insight—you will gain that at WPI. The STEM MBA program combines WPI’s signature project-based learning approach with a blended, cohort-style format. Classes are online with two required in-person classes each semester on Friday and/or Saturday during the middle and end of the course. You start with a group of like-minded peers, work through the program and projects together, and finish with a ready-made network that will prove fruitful throughout your career.
WPI's MS in Business Analytics offers a program in using data analytical methods in business processes improvement and decision making. Working closely with faculty, students learn how to navigate and build data-oriented solutions around business needs and strategies to keep organizations competitive in the marketplace. Students develop the ability to analyze business problems and find solutions using data-driven methods for existing and emerging markets. Students learn how to use technologies, acumen, and systems thinking to help businesses create value.
Information Technology (MS)
WPI’s Master of Science program in Information Technology is meeting the market demand for IT professionals who can leverage existing and emerging information technology and analytics tools and use that information in business applications. Being able to lead and collaborate helps IT professionals keep their careers on track. The demand for IT professionals who understand business and business analytics has never been higher. Across sectors, organizations are in need of IT managers who not only possess technical expertise but can also apply business principles and analytics to guide complex systems and understand how IT affects individuals and society. As a student in the MSIT program you will learn to use existing and emerging information technology to drive business forward.
Innovation with User Experience (MS)
WPI's MS in Innovation with User Experience offers a program in creating, designing, evaluating, generating, and improving innovative products and services. Students use technology, business, and design to help organizations create value for consumers. This degree teaches students to navigate and build human technology design models while remaining mindful of business strategies to keep organizations competitive in the marketplace. You’ll develop the ability to design innovative experiences for the existing markets and also learn to design for emerging markets.
Prepare to become a leader at the intersection of business and technology. WPI’s Master of Science program in Management is designed to help students tailor a course of study to improve their business skills in order to stand out in technology-based organizations. You will gain a solid understanding of major functional business areas, from financial management to complex group dynamics. With this degree, and at least two years of work experience, the WPI MBA can be completed in 27 credits.
Marketing and Innovation (MS)
WPI’s MS in Marketing and Innovation is a highly specialized program aimed at preparing students for the challenges of developing and marketing new products and services. With this degree you will develop the skills necessary to take products from concept to customer in a technology-oriented environment. You will learn to use data mining tools to understand consumer behavior, leverage social media platforms to build brand awareness, and use mobile applications to improve the customer experience.
Operations Analytics and Management (MS)
WPI’s MS in Operations Analytics and Management prepares students with the leadership skills to facilitate organizational improvement and the analytical skills to determine the best path to take. Students explore a full range of operational topics, including risk management, lean process design, modeling & optimization, and global strategy. Through this flexible curriculum you may decide to specialize in the high-demand field of big data analytics, learn the intricacies of supply chain management, or create models to inform global purchasing and logistics strategies.
Supply Chain Management (MS)
As organizations across sectors learn the competitive power of a well-run supply chain, they have discovered the need for a new kind of professional. WPI’s MS in Supply Chain Management is a distinctive STEM-designated degree program that involves a practical consulting project with industry partners. By learning to identify operational efficiencies of a supply chain you will be able to conduct demand forecasting, evaluate vulnerabilities and risk, and more. Students receive the skills and hands-on project management techniques necessary to design and manage an effective supply chain.
