My research focuses on modeling dynamics of biological structures immersed in a fluid at the cellular and molecular scale. I leverage massively parallel computing clusters to simulate and analyze these refined models. My research interests include DNA topology, computational fluid dynamics, mechanics, immersed boundary methods, dynamical systems, and scientific computing. I am particularly interested in the dynamics of DNA knots and links and the dynamics of cellular structures during mitosis.
